We are now accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year. You may also apply to be on the Wait List for this 2016-17 school year.  Click on the enroll tab above or below to apply for either year, but be sure to apply for the correct school year as the applications are separate and distinct.  Wait Lists do not roll over, so if you are on the 2016-17 wait list and you want to be considered for 2017-18, please also apply for that year as well.  You may apply for both.   We are a FREE PUBLIC SCHOOL that provides equal access to ALL students on a space available basis. We do not discriminate in our admission policies or practices on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, special needs, proficiency in the English language, or any other basis that would be illegal if used by a school district.

For the school year that will begin in September 2017, we will be enrolling 120 new students in Kindergarten and several students in Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Going forward, we will add one additional grade level per year (and we plan, ultimately, to offer grade levels K-12).  If you applied for the 2016-17 school year and are currently on the wait list for this current school year, you must fill out a separate application for the 2017-18 to be considered for that school year.  State law does not permit wait lists to be carried over from year to year.  That said, if your wait-listed child gets a seat in this 2016-17 school year, you will not need to make a new application for the 2017-18 school year; a seat will automatically be held for your scholar.

Apply early in order improve your child’s chances for admission. 


State law requires that when a charter public school receives more applications than it has open seats, it must conduct a lottery. Our current Initial Application Deadline is January 15, 2017. If we receive more applications by this date than there are seats available at a grade level, we will hold a lottery on January 18, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the school (508 Grand Street, Jersey City) that will result in some applicants being accepted and others being added to a wait list. Applicants after January 15, 2017, will be added to the wait list in the order they apply.  The parents/guardians of accepted scholars will be asked to complete additional forms and submit various documents, among them: 1) a birth certificate for the prospective student, and 2) a proof of the student’s home address.

Acceptable proofs of home address include utility bills, letters from any government entity, bank statements, mortgage statements, leases, car insurance, and car registration documents in the name of the child’s parent or guardian. These residency proofs must be current and the address on the proofs must be visible and match the child’s address. Driver’s licenses, cell phone bills, junk mail and personal mail are NOT, per state regulation, acceptable proofs.
